Opening Day: Big Bear Mountain Resorts
We can hardly contain our excitement as opening day for both Snow Summit and Big Bear Mountain is here! Both Bear Mountain and Snow Summit will be open beginning November 25 and 26. This is an extra special weekend for us as we welcome so many long-time visitors and guests, as well as plenty of first-timers and newbies to the area. The mountains feel alive with excitement as they welcome guests from near and far, and we can’t wait to do the same.
Whether you’re here to hit the mountain or will be enjoying the mountain views from afar with a cup of hot cocoa in hand, we know you’ll enjoy your stay during the 2023-2024 season. This year, there are a few new things to get excited about, one of which is the all-new BBMR mobile app. Available in the AppStore for iPhone users and the Google Play store for others, the Big Bear Mountain Resort app makes it easier than ever to plan a smooth visit and make the most of your stay.

The BBMR Mobile App
Don’t wait to download the all-new app! You can use it to buy or reload your lift tickets, access reservations, view trail maps, and navigate the Bear Mountain and Snow Summit base areas. Order food and drink directly through the app, take a peek at our live webcams to get a look at trail conditions, access weather updates, condition alerts, and so much more. Plus, app users can be the first to know about upcoming deals, specials, and events. The usefulness of the app doesn’t stop there, you can even rely on the app to track and replay your runs on the trail map, making it easier than ever to document your stay on the mountain.
Parking on Opening Weekend
The upper lot and remote parking lot access will be available for free on a first-come, first-served basis during Opening Weekend. Tailgating is not permitted at Big Bear Mountain Resort. Free shuttle service is available to/from all open remote lots.
Health and Safety
To provide the best experience possible while accounting for the well-being of all guests, employees, and the community, face coverings are required indoors for guests that have not been fully vaccinated. Guests are expected to practice social distancing at all times during their visit.
